A psycho-educational evaluation is a comprehensive assessment of a student's cognitive, academic, and socio-emotional functioning.
These evaluations are used to determine if a student is eligible for special education.
As an Educational Diagnostician I administer psycho-educational assessments to determine special education eligibility.
As an independent Psychometrist, I collaborate with the Pearson Field Research Team to ensure updated psycho-educational assessments are culturally relevant, unbiased and truly reflective of diversity.

During my eight year career as a Teacher of Record in Houston ISD, the largest independent school district in Texas, 8th in the nation, I raised over $20, 500 in crowdfunding sources via DonorsChoose (DC) with support from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Erin Condren, VerizonUp, J.W. Couch, Google, Chevron, PNC Foundation, SONIC, TpTGivesBack and more.
Through DC, I was able to attend the EdTechTeacher Summit three years in a row in Palm Springs, CA, Design39 Campus in San Diego and the Dearborn STEM Academy in Roxbury, MA. Also, I attended Kagan's Transform Your High Risk Classroom in Las Vegas, NV.
My Title 1, inner city, underserved students and families were able to participate in a STEM field trip to iFly Houston and a STEAM field trip to a real island at Moody Gardens in Galveston, TX.
